Kylie and Brendan were married in a quaint historic church in Fort Erie on an early October day. The Old Fort provided the perfect backdrop for pictures after the ceremony. Their brunch reception at Legends on the Niagara was filled with mixed soft fall hued blooms with a marsala punch in eclectic styles. I loved creating this mismatched look for them. We pulled out all of our pretty gold candles, bud vases and compotes to create one unified design. This is what wedding dreams are made of. I also got to work with my friends Young Glass Photography who are always stellar.
Engagement Session with Young Glass Photography
It was early spring and I needed to create. Not yet wedding season I was itching to craft with my hands. I called up my beauty friends Evan and Serena from Young Glass Photography and they agreed to shoot a stylized engagement session. Here is the pretty we came up with. Always a blast to work with you guys!
Heather and Phil, Niagara On the Lake private winery wedding
I would have to say hands down this was my favorite wedding of 2016. Why do I love it so? I think it was most importantly the easy going nature of this couple. They gave me a feeling and a vibe that they wanted to create and let me run with it. Mixed metallics (love), vintage flower vessels (love), barely there lavender and caramel with cream colour scheme (sigh…love)! No table was exactly alike as was no centerpiece. I loved incorporating so many goodies from my farmer in unexpected hues and textures.
Then on top of all of this I got to work with my seriously stellar stylist friend Amanda Cowley who coordinated and styled the heck out of this day. Wonder why I posted so many pictures? Reed Photography took so many amazing shots I simply could not choose.
Enjoy!!
